Project Manager

Become an essential component of this emerging residential construction outfit.

You would be responsible for overseeing residential projects including terrace/ multi-unit housing, medical & retail and aged care facilities. This position is a client-facing role and you will be responsible for managing client relationships on behalf of the business. This needs the highest level of communication and organization to reflect the importance of customers to the ongoing business. 

You will also be expected to carry out specific costing and tendering tasks relating to your current projects so exposure to this side of construction and estimating software/s will be looked upon favourably.

The Project Manager’s primary role is to ensure the project is delivered on time to meet customer requirements while focusing also on the profitability, construction standards and health and safety of the project.

The Project Manager’s position is a hands-on up-front position, including but not limited to;

• On site construction, control of sub-trades, construction will be measured on speed, quality and building to the issued purchase orders against a robust budgeting system
• Coordinating and ensuring all aspects of onsite Health and Safety systems and procedures are maintained to the highest levels
• Formulate, and review existing timelines as required for varying projects on MS project or similar
• Maintain an open, friendly and communicative style of management with the project client, suppliers and contractors.
• Report weekly which will include progress to date on:
• Construction (budget and timeliness)
• Supplier performance
• Health and safety
• Project hand-overs, organizing quality control assessments and managing the walk-through process with clients
